Volunteer

We ALWAYS need committed volunteers at Lizzy’s Lodge! Here are some of the duties that we need volunteers for:

1. Fostering: We always need people willing to provide a temporary home for our rescue dogs. Click here to find out more.

2. Adoption events: We need volunteers to help handle our rescue dogs and talk to people who are interested in adopting. Most of our events are in Maryland, within 45 minutes of DC.

3. Social media: We really need help with: (1) Taking pictures and making videos of our rescue dogs, (2) posting daily updates on Instagram and (3) posting daily updates on Facebook.

4. Dog walkers: Help walking our rescue dogs located in Silver Spring, MD and Meyersville, MD.

To express interest in volunteering, please email lizzyslodgerescue@gmail.com and tell us a little about your dog experience and what you are interested in doing. Unfortunately, we cannot accept volunteers who are younger than 18 because of insurance restrictions. If you are serious about volunteering and eager to get started, the best way jump in is to come to one of our adoption events and meet some of our dogs and other volunteers.
